Fud-counter Technical CenterArticlesWhy Open Source Software / Free Software
(OSS/FS)? Look at the Numbers! An Analysis of Microsoft's TCO Study by Thomas Pfau Microsoft performed a study comparing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of Windows NT 4.0 with Sun's Solaris. They claimed a victory for NT. But maybe it's not as big a victory as they claim. Microsoft recently referenced this study from their Linux Myths page.
