Thomas Pfau

Tom has been programming since 1977. He worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for over 12 years in Field Service and Software Services. He currently works for Maher Terminals where he assists in development of applications to manage their container terminals.

Tom has been using VMS since 1981 and is an experienced system programmer. He started using linux version 0.97 in November of 1991 and has been hooked ever since. His current position has him mostly programming for Windows NT, VMS and Oracle databases. He has successfully deployed three linux systems at Maher and tries to push as much work their way as he can.

Tom is the author of ftplib which is a set of subroutines that implement the FTP protocol (RFC959).
